Experienced investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala said that stocks of realty companies offer very low return on capital as compared to stocks of other big companies and they should not be listed in the market. Jhunjhunwala, which operates Rare Enterprises, is poised to become a major shareholder in the new airline.
He said only developers who build affordable houses should consider listing. Due to the large number of households, they can get good returns. However, very few real estate companies like Macrotech Developers and DLF are listed on the stock exchange.
Shares of DLF reached Rs 80
Referring to DLF’s case, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala said that the share price of DLF was Rs. 1,300 to Rs. Has come to 80. It shows the risk in the market.
