Many schemes are run by the government for such homeless people. Such as Pandit Din Dayal Upadhyay Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Dr. Ambedkar Awas Yojana etc. These schemes provide housing to the homeless.

Annual income should not exceed Rs.1,50,000 in rural areas and Rs.1,50,000 in urban areas.
Apart from housing assistance, under rural Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme (MGNREGA) for 30 days unskilled employment for housing construction in rural areas, Rs.
Under Swachh Bharat Mission, Rs. 15,000 / – for toilet can be obtained from Taluka Panchayat in rural area and Nagarpalika / Mahanagarpalika in urban area.

How to apply: First you have to open Google Search and type in e samaj kalyan portal.
Now the Official Website of e-Social Welfare Portal has to be opened.
Click on the “Director Scheduled Caste Welfare” page.
In which number-2 Dr Ambedkar Avas Yojana has to be clicked.
If you have not registered e samaj kalyan then “New User? Please click on Register Here.
In which you have to create a new account by entering the name, Gai, mobile number, password and Captcha Code.
After creating a new account, one has to click on Citizen Login, in which one has to login based on User Id, Password and Captcha Code.
In Citizen Login, one has to click on Dr. Ambedkar Awas Yojana.
Then you have to fill in your personal information.
Then you have to fill in the information of homeless or uninhabitable house.
After filling all the information at home, the required documents will have to be uploaded.
After uploading all the documents, the information has to be carefully checked once and click on Save.
Print will have to be taken out after final confirmation.
The application has to be submitted at the district office by attaching all the documents along with the print application
