In our country of India, there are many schemes run by central government and state government for pregnant women and lactating women. In which all these schemes are implemented by the government to make women self-reliant and empowered. There are many pregnant women in the country who have to face many difficulties during the birth of their child due to their condition and many health deficiencies which have a lot of impact on their child and the mother. Pradhan Mantri Matru Shakti Yojana was launched in Gujarat on June 18 by the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi to provide support to pregnant women by the government.

Gujarat Mukhyamantri Matru Shakti Yojana has been started by the government of Gujarat to provide nutritious food to both the mother and the children for the first thousand days from the time they are pregnant and to ensure that they get good nutrition.

Brief information about Chief Minister Matrashakti Yojana

Poor nutrition level of the mother hinders the growth of the unborn child which results in poor health of the child later on. Malnutrition and vitiligo in pregnant mothers seriously affects the growth and development of the child. 1000 days are known as “First Window of Opportunity” for 277 days from conception and 730 days from child birth to 2 years of age to improve nutritional status of mother and child.

Realizing the importance of this matter, the Government of India has decided to focus on 1000 days in the important goal and performance of the Nutrition Campaign. During this stage, it is very important that protein, cat and micro nutrients are also available in their diet along with food. Considering the importance of this matter, Gujarat Government has approved “Mukhyamantri Matrashakti Yojana” for 1000 days.

Benefits of Chief Minister Matrushakti Yojana

Every month, two kilos of gram, 1 kilo of tuwer dal and one liter of castor oil are provided from the Anganwadi centre.
Beneficiaries if distribution of this kit can be obtained from Anganwadi Center by Anganwadi Center Sisters.

Beneficiaries have to do through OTP or other similar means.
This scheme has been implemented by the Gujarat government from 01 June.
811 crore has been provided under the financial provision under this scheme and further provision has been made in the next five years.

Applicant has to apply online from portal. You can also apply online for this scheme at home through mobile / computer. And the applicant farmer can also apply through VCE (Panchayat Operator) and CSC Center from Gram Panchayat of your village.
