The epidemic of corona has spread in the country and in the state of Gujarat and globally. Many mothers and fathers of children have died in the state during the difficult times of corona epidemic. In many cases it is known that both the parents have passed away. Many children in the state have become orphans due to the death of their parents. The state government is sensitive to provide the benefit of all kinds of schemes to such orphaned children. “Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana Gujarat” has been implemented to provide support to children orphaned by the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is reported that both the child’s mother and father died due to Corona Virus. Children orphaned due to Corona epidemic should get the benefit of government schemes. And “Mukhyamantri bal seva yojana” has been implemented to provide support to such children for maintenance, education, health, training, educational loan, self employment and various departments.

The Financial Assistance Would Be Provided Under Mukhya Mantri Bal Seva Yojna. The Scheme Would Be Launched On August 2, Wherein The Money Would Be Transferred To The Bank Accounts Of These Children.

The State Government Has Now Decided To Extend The Benefit Of This Scheme To Children Who Have Lost One Of Their Parents To Covid-19, Said Sunaina Tomar, Additional Chief Secretary Of The Social Justice And Empowerment Department, In A Written Communication To District Collectors.
On August 2, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani Will Launch This Scheme For Such Children, By Transferring The First Monthly Instalment Of ₹2,000 Into The Bank Accounts Of Each Beneficiary Child Identified By The Authorities, Tomar Stated In The Letter.
She Further Asked The District Collectors To Open Bank Accounts For Eligible Children Within Three Days.

The benefits of this scheme will be available from Mar-2020 till the end of Corona epidemic.
“Mukhyamantri bal sewa yojana Gujarat” will be eligible for the benefit of orphans who are natives of Gujarat and have been permanently residing in the state of Gujarat for the past 10 years.
If the destitute child is above 10 years of age, a separate bank account should be opened for such a child. The amount of assistance will be deposited every month through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) in the account of such a child.
Under the Chief Minister’s Bal Seva Yojana, if a destitute child is of school going age, assistance will be available only as long as the schooling continues.
Note:- In the case of a child of 10 years of age or younger, a bank account in the name of the person who takes the responsibility of bringing up the orphaned child must be opened (Bank Account in Single Name). And the monthly assistance will be paid through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) in that bank itself.
A child of 10 years of age or below should open a separate bank account in the name of the child when he becomes above 10 years of age, in which the assistance will be paid through DBT.

The State Government Announced A Number Of Relief Measures Including Monthly Financial Assistance For The Children Who Have Lost Both Their Parents To Covid.
Rupani Announced ‘Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana And Said Such Children Will Get ₹4,000 Per Month Till They Turn 18. Now, This Age Has Been Increased To 21.
He Had Also Said That If They Continue Studies, They Will Get Assistance Of ₹6,000 Per Month Till They Turn 21. The Chief Minister Also Added That This Stipend Will Continue During Higher Studies Too.
He Said All Types Of Undergraduate And Postgraduate Courses Will Be Considered Valid For Availing Benefit Under This Scheme. Such Children Will Also Get Priority In Various Government Schemes Offering Scholarships Within India And Abroad Irrespective Of Income Criteria, Rupani Said.
According To The State Government, The Children From The ST, ST, OBC And Economically Backward Classes Will Get The Benefit Of Scholarships Of The State Social Justice And Empowerment And Tribal Development Department Irrespective Of Income Limits
Where to submit Chief Minister Child Seva Yojana Form (Application) | Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana Gujarat In order to avail Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana Gujarat benefits, the prescribed application form has to be submitted at “District Child Protection Unit” along with the documents.
The Sponsorship & Foster Care Approval Committee (SFCAC) of the concerned district shall take a decision to approve/reject the application within 7 days from the date of receipt of the Chief Minister Bal Seva Yojana form.
