When is Shub Muhurat?

This year the Amas of the month of Kartak is divided into two days, 24th and 25th October. But Amas Tithi on October 25 is ending before Pradoshkaal. On the other hand, October 24 will be the Amas Tithi in the Pradosh period. October 24 will also be the new moon date in Nishit Kaal. Therefore, Diwali festival will be celebrated across the country on October 24 this year.

Lakshmi-Ganesh worship on Diwali

Lakshmiji and Ganeshji are worshiped during the auspicious time of Diwali. First of all start the pooja by tilaking the kalash. After this meditate on Maa Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha with flowers and rice in hand.

After meditation offer flowers and rice to the idols of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi. Then lift both the idols from the mat and place them in a thali and bathe them with a mixture of milk, curd, honey, basil and Ganga water. After this take a bath with clean water and install back in the temple.

Apply Tilak to Lakshmi-Ganesh idol after bath. Garland Mata Lakshmi and Ganesha. After this place sweets, fruits, money and gold ornaments in front of Lakshmi and Ganesha. Then listen to the stories of the glories of Lord Ganesha and Mother Lakshmi together with the whole family and then perform aarti to Maa Lakshmi.
